Program Coordinator for BCLI
Started at Nexus: 2015
One of the newest additions to the Nexus staff, I joined the organization in October 2015 as the Program Coordinator for the Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute (BCLI), Nexus’ new initiative to train, place and support people of color and other underrepresented community members on publicly appointed city boards and commissions in the Twin Cities.
I am passionate about community work and civic engagement. I have always been drawn to helping people, and was inspired by Paul Wellstone to enter public service. I studied political science/international relations at Carleton College, and worked for the City of Saint Paul for six years. I love to read, write, and keep up with current events. I am a movie buff as well as a military history nerd.
