Harrison Neighborhood Association

The Harrison Neighborhood Association (HNA) fosters community awareness to improve the quality of life, to provide a forum for information and communication, to educate residents in how to resolve problems or initiate improvements, and to unite all efforts within the community in raising and acting on issues of common concern directed toward improving the quality of life in the Harrison neighborhood. HNA is using funding from the Community Engagement Team‘s Outreach and Engagement grants program to support the Transit Equity Partnership, which consists of three organizations controlled by underrepresented communities committed to creating a transit system that equitably benefits the diverse racial, cultural and economic groups that have been harmed by a century of discriminatory planning decisions that have marginalized and isolated the communities in North Minneapolis. The funding for these grants comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Developmentā€™s (HUD) Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant Initiative.
