Repa Mekha

Repa serves as Founder & CEO of Nexus Community Partners, a Community Building Intermediary that works at the intersection of community building and community development to achieve equitable community growth. Repa has 35+ years of experience in community-based leadership, leadership guidance, creative institution building, wealth-building strategies, organizational leadership, and systems change work. He is recognized locally and nationally as an innovative and visionary leader, and heads up Nexus’ work with regional and national partners.

About Repa

Repa sits on a number of boards, including as a founding board member of the Build from Within Alliance—a national network of community development organizations supporting local entrepreneurship in neighborhoods across the country—and co-founder and board member for the MN Black Collective Community Foundation, one of a small number of Black-established and Black-led community foundations in the nation. Repa is also co-founder of the Twin Cities African American Leadership Forum, a community innovation accelerator helping to create equitable futures for Black communities, and serves as a member of the Nonprofit Quarterly’s Economic Justice Initiative Advisory Committee, a national center-point for innovative racial justice resources and tools.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, with a focus on Community Development, from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Urban Studies from the University of Wisconsin. He is an alumnus of the 2022 Neighborhood Funders Group Philanthropy Forward; 2005 Bush Foundation Bush Leadership Fellowship, and 2004 James P. Shannon Shannon Leadership Institute.
