Attend an Info Session!
Please join us to learn more about the program, nomination, and selection process for our 2025 Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute (BCLI). We will be hosting three information sessions this winter. If you cannot attend any of the information sessions, they will be recorded and can be shared upon request.
You are welcome to contact BCLI staff with any questions you may have about the process, but are also encouraged to attend one of the information sessions before nominating a candidate or applying to be a fellow.

2013 BCLI Launch Event
The BCLI Commitment
- Fellowship runs April through October
- Attend three, hour-long meetings per month on Zoom, the launch event, and graduation (dates below)
- Work outside of sessions includes readings, online discussions, webinars, and commission meetings
- Total time commitment (including trainings and assignments) is approximately 80 hours
- Fellows receive a small stipend of $500 to honor this time and commitment*

- Orientation: Thursday, March 13, 4 – 8 pm
- Launch & Welcome Dinner: Friday, April 11, 6 – 8 pm
- Saturday Session 1: Racial Equity Lens: Saturday, April 12, 9 am – 5 pm
- Saturday Session 2: Economic Development & Land Use: Saturday, May 17, 9 am – 5 pm
- Saturday Session 3: Workforce Development: Saturday, June 14, 9 am – 5 pm
- Thursday Night Issue Series 1: Thursday, Aug. 7, 6 – 8 pm
- Saturday Session 4: Housing Equity: Saturday, July 19, 9 am – 5 pm
- Saturday Session 5: Transit Equity: Saturday, Aug. 16, 9 am – 5 pm
- Thursday Night Issue Series 2: Thursday, Sept. 11, 6 – 8 pm
- Saturday Session 6: Health Equity: Saturday, Sept. 20, 9 am – 5 pm
- Graduation: Thursday, Oct. 2, 5:30 – 7 pm
All sessions will be in person.
